Native 3D on a handheld Pana !

wow thats pretty cool. Do you know, is this a concept camera or something they are planning to market? If it is going to be sold, I'm very interested to see some footage when it gets closer to its release. Very interesting.

Panasonic said back in April that this is purely a conceptual representation of what they are researching. Not a definite thing. Sure, it would be nice to have a 3D camera in this form-factor. But, I'm sure we will have to wait awhile to see a final product.

And what about the Red Scarlet mockup they had Saying 3D !

It's about the same idea, only it looks like giant lego instead of on solid camera (PS : I love the red, and cant wait for the scarlet to come out)

Sony comes out with a prototype 3D camera that needs only a single HD broadcast lens for 3D.

2 CMOS full HD raster sensors - up to 240 fps.

Here is the picture of the prototype.

I also remember someone rigging twi HVX together on a shoulder mount. It was posted onto this forum but can't seem to find it ...

Also the sony solution seems quite interesting, having only one lens will reduce the cost (well I think ...) but so long for the parallax user setting as with two independent lens ...
