So, been thinking about going back tomorrow, showing them the receipt and blaming the bag boy..... PS. I went to Publix today. Bought some food, including baked chicken. Left chicken there. It may have coughed.
Or fill the stands with 50,000 sunburned mannequins?
How did I just know you had a Fischer-Spassky connection???Back in 1972, my dad often played along to the Fischer-Spassky match ... albeit a day later, in the papers. But, they did have a live audience.
NASCAR? Slow?I guess they need to take it slow
Fear the lawyers, not the crashes...there is always the fear of litigation lurking around every corner.
Yes. Corporations are puckered, to say the least. My producer is actually producing Sunday remotely(besides cell phone and email, they will have real-time access to our feeds, etc. from their home), because they do not want them to fly and another producer that is within driving distance, they did not want them staying in a hotel. Plus, it limits the number of people around each other. It's just me and my reporter on-site(do it all the time, anyway). We will drive in seperately and can not sit/be in the same vehicle together while there, as well as wearing masks, etc.
That is a lot of hurdles. Business as usual seems pretty far into the future.
Aren't most, if not all, sports experiences of the actual competition "better"- in terms of seeing what's going on, what you may have missed and getting the micro/macro level- on TV, with a dozen-plus cameras, slo-mo, reaction shots, etc?
The "fan experience" is probably as much about the psychology of being with 50-80,000 others- all united, or mixed rivalries- and drunk, as much as the event.
Can you think of a sport where the sport is absolutely better in person than on your big screen at home?
Don't say chess, DLD...

There's precedent for that too, YouTube is littered with "reaction videos" where people film themselves reacting to something on TV and then sharing it. Apparently there's quite a large audience for that kind of thing.
It's also been done forever on something like the draft or NCAA Tournament selection shows, they cut to the team's family or to the team's watch party to get their reactions...
Belarus is wide open. No masks. No distancing. Foreign visitors welcome after a 14 day quarantine. Bald and Bankrupt is back in production. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_UAkHQFcgA
