I really love this Nano and I hate to part with it. Convergent Design has done a great job and I'm now a fan of their products. Their firmware support has been fabulous. I am the registered owner with convergent design and will have no problem transferring the serial number to you.

Using this device does many things to improve your camera's images. For instance the EX1 normally records 4.2.0 color and 35Mbps long GOP. The Nano records 4.2.2 (200% more color data) up to 280Mbps I-frame. Tremendous for green screen, lots of movement, etc.
Use of this device can make your EX1, EX3 or AF100 compliant with BBC and Discovery Channel requirements.
Most important, it has a time code trigger. When you push your regular record button on the camera the Nano starts automatically. You hardly notice its there, especially if you are using the D-tap.
Its the perfect companion for the AF100, EX1, EX3, etc. I've upgraded the firmware several times. Its never been a problem and has added many new features. You can download the most recent manual with the most recent firmware.
To compare the options, start with the price of the Nanoflash itself that sells for $2,895. Then add:
1) CF card protector/guard, a nice upgrade.

2) Two d-tap to hrose power cables. The nano uses so little power it makes sense to use a d-tap battery on your camera (swit, IDX, etc) and run for hours.
3) BNC cable for your HD-SDI output.
4) Regular HDMI to small HDMI cable for your HDMI connections. (The nano is small HDMI or regular BNC for HD-SDI.)
5) A CF card reader.
6) An AC power cable.
7) Original CD and box.
8) A hot shoe mount. It slides right in your hot shoe for quick and easy use.

The current $2,995 package from convergent design does not include the extra power cable, CF card guard, so this is more for less at (now) $2,200.
FYI. The view screen has a wave on it. Its never overheated. I suspect the protective plastic wasn't removed on the inside. When you turn the unit on you don't see the wave. It does not affect use at all.

Also, there is tape on the power cables. They work fine, but I don't want the cables to flex at the junction and break. Its just an added precaution for peace of mind.

Shipping will be to the continental US only and I'll pay the actual shipping costs. Pick up is fine. I'm in Southern Calif. We can probably meet half way if you're in So Cal too.
