I've always been a huge Nikon fan, and though their DSLRs certainly lag Canon in video features, I'm still highly biased about Nikon glass. You can teach an old dog new tricks, but you'll need a lot of proof! Here is an article on Nikon's Nano Crystal coating which I found very interesting:
