Naming Convention

Can we settle on HDSLR as the proper term for the video capable DSLR's?

[mhood]

no...I'm going to call them "vDSLRs". ;-)

[Zim]

I'm calling them DSLR cameras with video

[ethan cooper]

no...I'm going to call them "vDSLRs". ;-)

that's been my name of choice as well, lower case v included, but I really think HDSLR is better.

how do we get this passed into international law?

I'm calling them DSLR cameras with video

this

[ZazaCast]

I'm calling them DSLRWBV's (Digital Single Lens Reflex Wana Be Video).

[Lammy]

No I just call them DSLRs. The video will be pretty much standard these days. Do you call your mobile phone a videophone, or your laptop a HDlaptop?

[mhood]

Can't we all just get along?

[mattsand]

I call my cellphone a phone and my camera an slr.

[bwwd]

camera

[Zim]

That one will work

camera

[mattsand]

camera

good point, but not specific enough. if you're telling somebody what camera you're using they already know you're using a camera.

Might be a good idea to make this the "Nikon Video" Then under that D90, D300s etc.
