NAB: Who's going?

There's a NAB thread in the "meetings section", however what the heck.

I'M GOING!!! WHOO (yes, i'm just a *little* excited!)

I'll be there all week, mostly at Tiffen/Steadicam - come see "The Player" (my lego rig) - and i'll be at Panny and Red too no doubt.

A week ago, it was certain I was going. Today, I find out I have to be available on Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully it'll be Monday and I still have a chance of going. But it's not looking good right now...:crybaby:

Bummer... I hope you can make it Blaine.

Quick Q. I registered for a VIP exhibit only pass last week... should I receive it in the mail, or will I have to pick it up there?

I was going......got my pass and everything, but the taxman took all my money so I have to stay home and earn more money so I can pay more taxes and not go next year.

I'll be there from Sunday night till thursday, then off to LA for the weekend.
Looking forward to meeting all of you...

briceman, I *think* you need to pick it up, but i'm not sure.

Maybe a more notable question would be: What does everyone look like/will you be wearing? Post a (recent) pic so we can recognize each other! - I could even throw together a little cheat card of everyon's faces for ppl to print if we want.

...or we could all get blueman logos or red "X"s tatooed on our foreheads...

Also, incase you folks that are living on the edge of uncertainty missed my offer in the other thread, I have a spare bed in my hotel room if someone needs it for a good price, PM me for details.

My pic is my avatar... that's like two months old. Thanks for the answer Mikko... looks like I'll be picking my pass up... unless it comes sometime this week.

Just a friendly reminder that TC will have a t-shirt for everyone to sign! Please find him and put your John Hancock on it somewhere!

I'm soooo disappointed. I was all set to go this year, even got my pass last week in the mail. But I just can't afford to stay there, so I'll have to wait until next year :crybaby:

Have fun, make sure you report back all the juicy details

Larry... I think Mikko has some deal with lodging or something...

thartley I'll be looking out for TC and sign it!

I'll be there Monday-Wednesday.

Good point, Mikko, about how to recognize fellow X'ers. Any ideas short of asking everyone at the Panny and Red booth if they have a screenname?? I can find Jarred no problem, but the rest of you... um... hmm this could be tricky.

I'm going to roll out of bed and walk on over there.... no just kidding I have at least a 10 minute drive! :) Can not wait to meet everyone, and check out the "Red" camera, and all the other new tools that will be released at NAB!

Shane.
