Don't think this was posted yet.

I've never been their before. I've decided today that I should go. It's like a mini NAB. I did go to the one in Las Vegas in 2014. The one in New York is obviously far closer to Massachusetts. I'm just going for a day and the round trip bus from Boston to New York and back ended up being $18. Not too bad unlike Las Vegas in which I had to pay for the airfare and hotel.
Anyway, like NAB in Las Vegas, you can also get into it for free if you know where to find a code. That's fine if you just want to see the exhibits. You do have to pay for the workshops.

It was mentioned in another thread. I've attended the past few years when it was the CCW/SATCOM expo. It is held at the Javits Center. Last year attendance was around 11k. I read next year NAB NY and the AES audio show plan to combine. Attendance is expected to double.

I just read Hillary Clinton and her supporters will be spending tonight, election night, at the Javits Center. The police plan to close some of the surrounding streets for security reasons. Hopefully Mitch and the other exhibitors at NAB NY will have their booths setup and ready for tomorrow's opening of NAB NY.

I received an email from Vitec offering free entry with promo code NY2977. Give it a try.

Why does this site sometimes post replies in small font?

Here's the code that I used:
NY9762

I've used a free code for NAB in Las Vegas and for the New York one coming up. I'm sure it must really stink for people who paid to get in and then find out that they could have gotten in for free.

We were alerted near the end of last week about the Clinton campaign taking over the upper level of the Javit's Center tonight. We always knew that Tuesday load-in & setup would end by 4:30, but were given a "hard out" for that time and encouraged to setup on Monday. I'm pretty quick in setting up and was busy yesterday, so we got in first thing in the morning and were done by lunchtime. But it's the first trade show I've attended where I had to go through Secret Service security and bomb-sniffing dogs.

See y'all on Wednesday & Thursday. It looks to be a great show.

It was a great show, very well attended with quality people. Next year will be a month earlier and combined with AES. I heard they're expecting 25,000 attendees.

any coverage videos on youtube the event? I missed the event :( Also, was the Kinifinity Terra cameras there?

Thanks,
Chris
