Just got the hvx a few hours ago, and everything is working great (amazingly similar to the dvx) except I can't seem to switch the camera from dvcpro50 to dvcpro hd. I'm writing to one 4gb p2 card, if that makes any difference...

the HVX looks like the DVX spent a few months eating beef jerkey and lifting weights...
 
You can only use dvcpro hd in 720p and 1080 modes, sounds like your in SD mode so you need to go to the menu and select a HD mode 720p and up.
