Mysterious $700 deposit in my bank account?!?!?

Well, haven't called the bank yet I was trying to find more info online about this deposit. I found a thing that shows the deposit slip, and the money definitely doesn't belong to me. Bank of america fail. It shows that it's a deposit by a landscaping company. How it ended up in my account, I have no idea

The Canadian government once put 4500 dollars in my wife's account. I wanted to withdraw it but my wife was too afraid. It sat there for months. Then one day it was gone, so I guess she was right.

That's crazy how it sat there for months and they somehow found out it was missing that long after the fact :/

Take the money out, close the account!

lol^^^ No thanks. That's someones business and someones/or a couple of people's paychecks (it's a landscape business)

An employer once overpaid me by $1300. I considered quitting immediately and living life on the lam but wasn't sure how far the money would get me plus I was out of quarters for laundry.

And, apropos of nothing, why can't I edit in the "Quick Reply" box now?

it could be fraud, here in south africa, they actually sometimes steal a cheque book, deposit a cheque in your account (it's gonna bounce because the signatures don't match) but it takes the banks a couple of days to realize this, they then phone you a day later, and say they made a mistake, could you please give them the money back. you pay it back, the bank sees it's a fruad cheque, and wham, you out of that money,

Over $700? I don't know I would do that over $7,000. Actually, I wouldn't do that at all.

I'd actually call them or or go in there and tell them they screwed up. You'll feel good about doing the right thing, and the poor person who was supposed to get the money will avoid a headache.
