My wish list for odyssey 'q

I am a fresh owner of the odyssey 7q and here is my wish list:

1. 4k pro res - 25p and 50p - this is a big one because raw is overkill in 90 procent of shootings

2. 2k high frame rates - pro res - same as above - raw is just too much data to handle in post...and boy it slows down the editing pace

3. 4k 120 fps bursts - who wouldn't want this? hopefully in some flavor of pro res

4. 1 frame per second in 4k in prores - it would be good for timelapse shots

It would be also a great thing to have a time schedule of future releases so we stop expecting the unexpected...something like sony delivered for
the future firmware upgrades of sony f5 and sony f55....hopefully we are not asking the impossible...

so far the best thing about odyssey is the possibility to shoot 10 bit 4k2hd...the whole raw workflow in slow and painful...but in some scenarios still very vital thanks to the adobe acr wide range and beautiful skin tones you get....

I too cannot wait for the 4K ProRes (24, 25, 30) to be released. That will make shooting 4K on the FS700 a dream! And the interval/timelapse mode you mentioned #4 would be nice to have as well.

However, I do not believe we'll ever get 240fps in ProRes - it's just WAY too much processing for the O7Q to do in real time. I've heard murmurings and musings about possibly 120fps, but I've never heard anything official that this is on their development for any time soon.

I have heard that they are looking at the 4K burst as well, but again, I highly doubt that will be anything other than RAW.

And I think our reactions to the delay of the "February" firmware has C-D a little hesitant to give us any firm dates for updates. As of now, I believe they're operating on a "Enjoy the cool features you have now, we'll let you know when we add more" system, haha.
