I did also recently video for my own house that is for sale and we had 2 offers in the first week it was listed. I'm not sure the video played that much of a role, but since it was free for me to do, it was another way for me to add to my portfolio. The average days on the market in my area is over 60, so I can argue it had an impact.
Even if you house isn't for sale...perhaps you can shoot it and some friends' homes. Then present the videos to realtors and talk to them about the cost/value investment.
Well, speak of the devil.....our house is back on the market and guess what, our realtor suggested I shoot a video to help with the sale. (she was also inquiring what I'd charge for her clients, but that's another story) The video could be embedded on the 'for sale' website & youtube, ect.
Problem areas:
-It's the dead of winter here, so any exterior beauty shots are out. (but we're getting a fresh snowfall....so I might shoot a nice exterior next time we get a sunny day)
-Our house ain't exactly the Taj Mahal. all the drone shots in the world won't help this turkey. : )
With the addition of some well-shot photos I have already, I think I will cobble something together. Break out the Zaza ® Slider & the 11-16!
