Total cost on this project was 12 dollars
I used a gorilla rack shelf for its angle iron, found on Craigslist for free.
a pair of roller skates $5 at weekend swap meet
8 5/16 bolts and lock nuts $5
and two rods I found at Ikea in the as is section $2.
I took my design from a hauge ladder dolly and just modded it to work with my stuff. My first design was the larger model and is to be used on a ladder track. I made the unit adjustable to different sizes by adding a channel on one side to adjust the wheel in or out. the second design came after I found the rods at Ikea and decided to make a more portable solution.
They both work pretty nice.
I am am looking for a 2nd pair of skates to finish the larger model and also make a platform for a tripod.
With the mini model I am just figuring out a way to mount the rails to a tripod system to get It off the ground. I like having the rails loose so I can place them anywhere but they don't always stay put.
I am working on some test footage and should be up soon.
