MY NEW SHORT. Feedback please...

if your gonna rip it apart... could you atleast give me specifics so i can improve and work on it... i know its not great, and i was just fooling around but come on guys...

Compression and lighting was poor...I couldn't really see anything in detail...and it didn't make any sense. It looked to me as if someone just left the camera running while a couple of friends goofed off. No offense...just stating my opinions..

Put some effort into it if you don't want it ripped apart; then we could tell you what to improve. Otherwise.. uhm. It sounds like your friend has an ADD problem.

im not saying that can't or don't want to accept criticism but posts such as "waste of time" or "sounds like your friend has an ADD problem" doen'st help anybody. that put aside i should have put in the first post something along the lines of funny clip or something so everybody wouldn jump on it.

true, you did title your post "feedback please" rather than "opinion please". You have to understand though, its much easier for us to reply with "it sucked" rather than taking the time to give suggestions. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!

sarcasm aside- yes your short needs some work. Next time, if you must use a reverbratory bathroom for a scene with dialogue- avoid using the on camera microphone. Think about investing in a shotgun microphone. Azden makes some affordable mics until you can upgrade. Then get to a guitar store and buy some XLR cable then to home depot for a painters pole. Presto- you have a boom mic for under $200.

Also, static shots like that with no cutaways can be alittle annoying to watch. Try cutting that scene with some close ups of the guy. And work on your encoding skills- DV.com has a great forum on video compression. You may have been trying to keep the file small. Dont encode for the modem user anymore- if they dont have high speed then they wait.
