Thank you! The logging stuff was shot with various Zeiss Compact Primes, and a canon 70-200.. You can check the full videos outmon my YouTube account, just do a search for marxthespotfilms.. Thanks again!great reel!! Was the logging stuff shot with the 5D? If so what lens?
Overall I really loved it. I loved the variety and the international feel. My only criticism was the use of the opening shot. With the dodgy audio it really threw me off. I thought "uh oh", but quickly recovered during the much improved remainder of the reel. I would suggest putting that opening shot at the end of the reel, like an out-take sort of thing during the end credits, just to reinforce you're the DP. And best yet cleaning up the audio. The wind noise is really distracting and it took me two times playing it to even hear that he said your name. Otherwise, loved it. I'd hire you![]()
Very nice and pro looking
Id be interested in how you pull focus with the push ins on the 5d
Totally dont get the first shot
A couple of misframes caught my eye
man coming out of door with too much headroom and chopped up hands
pan up binkii girls doesnt stop at their heads
As the policeman enters the yellow building the dissolve is pretty horrid Id bin the first of the two shots.. in fact Id bin em both with the weak framing on the second
The message is (and I find this a tough one - ive gone for two reels) a little confused being a mix of high quality corporate and slightly lower budget drama (I guess)

The racetrack sequence may be a little long and a little too fast cut
