My new Music Video Screen grabs

Hi there all fellow dvxusers,

here are a few grabs from our latest music video shot, with basic AG-DVX102, we used a defuser and two reflectors for lighting, the videos came all right, except you see a bit of noise/white dots at darker regions as you can, could you please give advice on how to fix this, is this normal, or are there ways to fix that, the lighting levels seemed to be fine and we used the default F6 settings on the camera.

Thanks

hey mate
Yes that is normal for you shot with cinelike d which has the best dynamic range suited to outdoor shooting like you have here unfortunately the trade off is a noisier image especially in shadows. You could try crushing the blacks a little then your balanced image starts to imbalance. Or perhaps a slight denoise. You just got to fool around till you get an image you like in post. However you have to be delicate with especiallly with nice natural images like this you start tweaking and before you know it you have lost that fresh natural image!

thanks for the response mate, I will try maybe cinlike and cinelike V settings and change the pdstl settings and see if that improves the noise.

Cheers
