So I just got a 17" MacBook Pro and an EX1, when I connect the SXS cards into the slot of the MBP it doesn't show up in the finder...however when I connect my camera via the slow USB it does read the cards. I have all my Sony software installed...whats the deal!?!

no...my SDHC card reader works in there...also when i do insert an SxS card this little icon in my toolbar shows up on the right and when I click on it the only option I get is to "turn card off" Still nothing mounted but i know it's being read

Isn't the OS Snow Leopard has problem with express card slot? (I heard that from the p2 card section.)

well as I said my card reader works there...I feel like an idiot here and theres something incredibly obvious that I'm not doing because it seems like I am the only person with this issue.

From the newest SxS driver pdf file:
SxS Driver Update (for using a PC’s ExpressCard slot as a card reader)

1. SxS Driver for Windows - remains as version 1.034300

• Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate Editions (32-bit and 64-bit)

2. SxS Driver for Mac OS X - updated to version 1.04.5050

• Tiger (v10.4.x), Leopard (v10.5.x),
• SnowLeopard (v10.6.x) (32-bit and 64-bit)

When the previous version of the SxS driver was installed under SnowLeopard (Mac
OS X v10.6.x), the system exhibited the following symptom:

When an SxS card is inserted, Mac OS X would display a kernel panic or
hang.

This issue has been fixed in this new release.
