My new logo ident....

Alright, so this is the new animated logo for my production company (NWCMR studios, short for "newcomer"). Please check it out and let me know what you think.

It was made in after effects. Also, I recommend that you don't watch this with shi*ty laptop speakers. If you have some nice headphones or whatever, use them.

It's okay.

On a personal level it's just not what I would have done. The problem is that it's too flashy. Looks like you're just doing something to do it.

But hey if you like it, keep it. It's well done.

Also it's a bit long no?
 
yeah I was a bit worried about length. I have another one that is only about 15 seconds long and simpler. thanks for the input. i'll upload the other one to vimeo asap (only one HD video per week damnit).
 
perhaps cut out the lights exploding? what do you guys think? maybe if I just fade it to black again after the lights come up.
 
i like it alot actually.... if you decide to cut it back i would just cut to black without lights exploding like you mentioned, but i like it as is.... nice work.
 
I love the effects, color and the style of this logo.

My only suggestion (and you can take it with a grain of salt too) is that you could make the top part (the acronym NWCMR) smaller in size. That way, it works with everything else (the green color and lighting) perfectly. With visuals like this, the viewer's eyes tend to focus only on the biggest thing (which is the NWCMR) and miss everything else. It fills the screen a little too much, which isn't horrible, it just overwhelms a bit too much.

Good work though, it looks very good without coming across as too flashy. I like the lights exploding too but it you replaced them exploding with them dimming/burning out, I wonder how that would look too?
 
I think it's actually quite cool.

Although, a little bit ominous and scary: that's just my gut first reaction: if that's what you were going for, very nicely done.

Also, perhaps a bit long. I don't think you need to change the content or scripting of events, just tighten the whole thing up. Maybe the lights/letter come up and blow up faster...

Anyway, nicely done, and depending on what you were going for, very effective.
 
thanks for all the feedback guys, I am working on a revision right now and I will definitely post the revised version for you guys. I am probably going to go ahead and cut the exploding lights and then tighten everything up like you suggested, I would like it to run closer to 15 seconds.

I actually kinda like the lights exploding. How about having them explode while the letters are still in them?
