A beautiful, abandoned historic theater located in a small, fascinating village in the north of Italy.
In 2005, a group of young people fell in love with this place.
Since that time, they decided to make it accessible again, without any economic support and, initially, without a formal permission from Gualtieri Municipal Administration.
Today, the theater is a work in progress and several volunteers carry out this dream.

Music: First Breath, Draw Breath by Ezio Bosso

Very lovely work Filippo. Not over-lit at all yet you managed to get relatively noise-less dark areas in the RAW shooting. Nice use of a hazer, or was the did the theater naturally have atmosphere? :) Did you shoot 50P for this?

Guys, thanks for your comments.
Powervideo, in the theatre there was a lot of dust, but I also used a little fog machine ;-)

It's beautiful... do you know the composer personally? The music has been playing for the past 20 min here i can't get enough of the tune.

As for the shooting, it makes me feel like I'm in no position to say anything. Fantastic stuff.

That is really beautiful and the music is inspiring. It is such a beautiful place, so many unlikely spaces. I particularly liked the track to reveal the clock up high on the ceiling. It makes you long for the original beauty of that place. My favorite composition is at 1:45. That light shaft from so high, framed by those arches... lovely, haunting.

All that detail in the shadows really shows what that camera can do in competent hands.

Guys, thanks again for your comments!
Ezio Bosso is a great music composer, he gave me the permission to use his music for this video.

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! I have only shot talking heads with the F55 now I need to get out there find some rich textures!

Great video Filippo. The music is so haunting also.

I love how you were gutsy enough to turn a light on or off in the middle of a shot to create additional 'movement' in that interesting way. But I'm not sure how you did the 2nd last scene with the workers in the theatre. Very nice.

I filmed two separate scenes and mixed togheter.

I agree with everyone here. Very good camera work! Not only that, but I really enjoyed your editing. You really payed attention to how to direct the viewer's eye during cuts, and the pacing was very natural. It didn't feel forced to the music in any way. And lastly, yes, the music was very good. The texture of the strings complemented the textures of the images you were capturing.

Yeah, very beautiful work. Some really captivating images tied nicely together with the music.

Thanks for sharing.
