Hey Guys.
I just finished the first cut of these new short.
It's a mute film and the titles are in portuguese, but i promisse to put an english version preaty soon.

I was the co-director and the cinematographer and we used the DVx in the 24pa mode and an old Bolex 16mm camera for comparing both of footage later on.

Hope you guys like it, here is the link:

Re: my new EXPRESSIONIST SHORT.

Absolutely fantastic.

Wonderful, wonderful use of shadow and light.

I'm thrilled that people are still using film (even if to a limited degree) these days.

Re: my new EXPRESSIONIST SHORT.

Nicely Done. Now, this style of filmaking is not my speed I must say. It's like watching Opera to me. Last time I went to an Opera (In Sante Fe, NM) I spent the whole night two-fisting Jack & Coke's and Chain Smoking at every intermission)

But in being an objective person, I liked the use of light and composition of the shots. Well done.

Re: my new EXPRESSIONIST SHORT.

Wow, that was awesome. I loved the camera shots and the pacing. Everything seemed perfectly thought out and everything "fit". It reminded me of some earlier hitchcock (my favorite director) but not withought having a little of your own distinctive style. Whoever edited this beast did a great job as well. So is the footage we're seeing from the DVX or from the Bolex? I can't wait to see the english version and find out what everything said. ;)
