My new directing reel shot on 5D, feedback, thoughts and comments?

Had to stop watching before I horked up my breakfast.

I'm probably the wrong person to comment because I loathe shake-fest footage.

I would edit down this one take into all of the good shots. You don't want to show any out of focus areas as people will be distracted from the action on screen.

I would also get more varied shots so that you can show your directing in other various areas. It might be good to get some of the audio of you directing the talent as well so that a producer can get an idea of what you're doing.

I'd also change the music track to something more memorable and exciting. It doesn't fit the footage you're showing at all.

Take a look at some other reels from other people here on the forums. It will give a good idea of what the bar is.

A directing real consists of 3 short scenes of actors you have directed (including audio) hence why its a directing reel so people can see how well you have directed your actors. this is more like a cinematography reel.

seems more like a music video, as a music video i really enjoyed it, as a directing reel, doesn't make much sense like tackleqb said
