I'd consider riding a bike to worl; juts not in this town (disconnected and spreadout, have too many errands duing daytime with business, have a son starting kindergarten.....). NOt going to happen.

I would never profess to what car is safest; isn't a Volvo pretty damn safe anyway? But still feel safer. I'd rather be sitting in the trcuk rear-ended than the econo car.

Yup, it's a bummer how difficult many places are for alternative transportation. We are lucky here in the San Francisco bay area since there's a lot of support for cycling. Cool seeing a whole family able to ride their bikes to the park or just out for a cruise. Very cool when I see a parent on the trails jamming along on their mountain bike with a third wheel bike attached on back with their kid.

I would still recommend giving a bike a try once in a while. :thumbsup:
