Encinitas, Ca (15 Minutes from me)

So when it hit's $3.00 a Gallon do we just take it in stride?

Its 2.25 here John I'm not looking forward to next summer. I'm glad I bought a four stroke motor for my boat much more fuel efficient. Good luck with those Cali gas prices. Maybe Arnold can go into the past and terminate some fuel prices?

The Road Warrior; someone oughta do a spoof of that and todays gas prices.

My brother (fool) just bought a V8 Titan. I hate to see his Gas Budget. Why would you buy a V8 Titan today? And no, he's not in construction or hauling; he's an accountant. Aaawwww, the irony.

Need to get back east where it's

2.39

Ouch! It's only like $1,74 per gallon here (took me a few min of messing with convert-me.com and calculator)

Yea, it's getting ridiculous. Luckily I drive a pretty fuel efficient car, and I really don't drive too much. I try to ride my bike alot. When are they going to start powering cars by Hydrogen?

I'll bite my tongue and make no comment... I don't even want to get into an SUV/Hummer/Bug Truck discussion. It's about ego/false sense of security/one up the next person... argh. :thumbdown

Gas is cheap here. $3 sounds expensive because we have gotten used to cheap gas. Look at the cost of gas elsewhere in the world.

I have a V6 Truck (Nissan Frontier) but work about 2 miles from home. I've had the Truck
since Late December 2004 and have like 3800 Miles on it; how cool is that.

That's cool. Now be really cool and ride a bike!

Hello, why is this a big deal?

I have to fill up from driving to work about 5 times a month. The fill-up costs $25 each time, at current prices. As opposed to $20 before the current 'shortage' of fuel oil.

Sorry, that doesn't even equal a single bar tab of mine. Now, if drinks shot up to $8 each hit, then it would be Boston Tea party time.

Ego
One up the next person

False sense of security :thumbdown It's NOT a false sense of security. If I had a choice of vehicles to be in during an accident, I'd choose a Hummer over a Mini Cooper ANY day.

And NO, I don't drive a Hummer. I drive a Nissan Xterra and my wife drives a Toyota Camry. I hate driving her car because I just don't feel as safe.
Yes, Yes, Yes... I know the Camry is a safe car but I'd still rather have an identical accident in my Xterra.
