I'm trying to record a master tape of something I edited on Final Cut Pro. I've got firewire running out of my computer and into my DVX100B. I can see the image clearly in the flip-out screen. I'm also using RCA & an S-video cable to run the same video from the camera to my DVD recorder.
The problem is that my DVX100B will not record the image. When I press VCR record, I see timecode running as if it's recording just fine on tape. When I go to play it back, the timecode won't rewind, and nothing will play. I've also tried using different tapes and have put a cleaning tape in it just in case it was the heads.
Is there something I need to do to get it to record onto mini DV or could this be a camera defect?
