My latest music video

I wasn't liking the low angle performance shot. Felt like it was too far back, making me feel alienated from it. I wasn't too crazy about the awkward still shot at the end when the snippet of the other song came in. Other wise, pretty good video. Thanks for sharing.

Here's what would be worth your while: Uploading your video to a site that doesn't take forever to view. Sorry, can't wait 5 minutes for buffering....there's more pressing internet stuff to view!

I liked the low performance shot until the end, it was too long at the end. I didn't like the gradient filters (miami preset in MB?) it's a style choice I know but I would have toned the gradients down a bit. Also in the car scene, he could have had a bit more light on his face. I liked it when he went under the overpass and you could see reflections (of the overpass) on the windshield but I think it would have been an awesome shot if he didn't completely disappear.
Also, the still shot at the end was awkward to me.
Otherwise I can tell you put a lot of work into this and I think it was a really good video.

I agree with deepfocus. I clicked and forgot about it, left the room and came back to the music. Most people won't wait 5 mins and I definitely woudn't have. Out of 92 views maybe 5 actually saw it would be my guess.

hey no problem. anything online is optional to view anyways. I understand what you're saying though and thanks for the advise. well taken.

Ok, I'm back, and now I can view it. (I understand the whole youtube controversy)
Anyways, this is really good for what it is. I like the whole camera/crosshair thing.

As stated, the extreme wide angle shot...well I wasn't "feelin' it". If you broke them up with some close up shots...that might have worked. (It's easy, all you gotta do is get all the guys in that shot together again, get them to wear the same outfits, no problem! )

I'm in the process of shooting a hip-hop video, but it's certainly not as interesting as this one. (musically or visually) Good job!

Nice work.

I have to ditto the farming concerns however. Nice that you have the wide-angle but don't be afraid to go close every now & then. Everything feels like the world-at-arm's-length {or wider}. There's not a close-medium ubtil about the 2 minute mark.

Also - the grad filter effects were a bit over the top. Especially at the beginning, the guy's faces get lost in the reddish-orange 'mud'.

Beyond that, I also liked the crosshair effects and the security camera 'quad's.

I like the concept and shooting style. The colors were alittle rich but it didn't bother me that much. Like everyone else has stated, cutting the wide low angle shot with some cu's of that same scene would work wonders for that video. Also, his face is not visible at all during the car shoots....I felt like I didn't even know what he looked like until the second verse. But, other than that, great video!
