My Latest Music Video

Images are great ....edit is great....but the audio on this clip seems "disconnected" from the visuals.

Maybe a mix problem but I dont feel that I am HEARING a live high energy performance although I am WATCHING a live high energy performance

At the least... audio is low volume and needs some cranking up. .

that was killer! so good! how did you do what looked like over cranking and under cranking at the beginning?

Thanks, the speed ramps are apple motion, The Slow motion was done in camera. BTW the color grade in the beginning was also done in camera.

Do you think crowd noise on the live clips would help?

I would think it worth a try mixing in a bit of crowd for a live feel but I also think it needs lots more "volume" esp. Bass so it hits your edits on strong beats. eg. The dance action needs something strong to work the hits with the beats. The drums look like they are being hit hard but it doesnt sound like it.

Just my opinion.

Yep, I agree the mix needs more balls, but the song was already mastered when we shot it. (Maybe we just made the video more rock-n-roll then the song) These guys are easy to work with, but they definitely control their music so i doubt they'll change the mix or let me fiddle with EQ. I could get a little more volume on the whole track, and maybe some crowd noise, but they are paying clients sooo, you know how that goes.

Start with upping the level on the video clip. I have to really crank on my PC and it seems quiet even then.

The band also has to realise that they may need a slightly different mix / EQ/ compression... for diffferent display eg. radio, TV. web, computer

What do the band think of your video (and the audio levels) ?

Be careful that it probably sounds really loud and perfect in your edit suite thru your large monitor speakers.

Wow. That is very good. Really rich colors and handled the bright highlights super well. Great DP for sure. Thanks for sharing
