Been a while since I posted as I am in the middle of 2 films but this is the trailer for one that I didn't shoot but I was one of the main cast...as a guerilla filmmaker, I was truly impressed with this film...Kely McClung made this feature look like a true release film...I hope you like the trailer...please vote it up if you can and leave a comment...

Cheers,

Thank You Michelle...this is not one I wrote...just one I was in. Director Writer on this was Kely McClung, a really talented director from Atlanta who made this with a stock EX1 Sony Camcorder...I was just amazed at the look of this film given the limited budget and eqipment level...can't wait for it to screen...

Stan

I finally got to see it at high quality. The first time my web was so slow...this time I really saw it. Looks really slick and well shot too. The edit on the trailer was tight. I will keep my eyes out to see some of the stuff you produced and wrote. I am trying to learn more about the behind the scenes. That silly video I did that went viral has inspired me to try more.

Now, that's the way to do a trailer! I was emotionally involved from the very start. Guns, violence, blood, stunts, what else can I say? (side note: the actress shooting the pistol didn't sell it for me. She needs more training on what a weapon does. That was the only thing that distracted me)

Damn!!!! Can't wait to see the finished product. Release date????????

everything about that was good, the acting the music and the cinematography all top notch and professional.

I have to be honest here mate and say that I didnt get what the plot was supposed to be about and all I heard was screaming and people beating the **** out of and shooting each other?

The production value looks really good, looks like a pro film (near enough.)

Sorry to sound negative, im not trying to, just didnt get what the film was about?

Not at all mate...it's an honest opinion and very valid.

..this was a trailer to entice the action freaks...it is not a film I made, it was one I was in but I was one to encourage this kind of a trailer...Kely is a former world champion martial artist and there is a market out there for great fight sequences and films. Kely has a great ability to not just make great films but authentic and brilliant fight scenes. Something lcking and greatly craved by a certain market.

I see so many trailers that say so little about the film but they generate a lot of discussion, just like we are talking now...all discussion is good and this film, to be frank, is not the kind of film everyone is going to like...that's not the kind of film Kely set out to make...It is an emotionally charged, beast of a film that is shot for very little and with a stock SONY EX1, yet it has a huge production look...I was proud to put some of these sequences on my reel and that is one reason I posted this on the acting thread...reel is hugely important to actors and the film Kely shot looks not just cinematic but if you get to watch the film, you'll find it in fact has an incredible story too...I am not justifying a limited storyline trailer here...what I am saying is that this film, as with most films of a high calibre, will have many trailers...each will be geared towards a specific market...some 20 secs some 2 mins some with story and some with less...there's a lot of market to cover and this film has many facets to showcase... even if it's not for every person...

So you were an actor in the film?

I actually found the trailer really amusing because there was the song in the background with all this shouting and violence going on, dont know why, just found it really funny, but not in a piss take way.

THats cool man, I just didnt understand what was going on and to be honest that song was highly distracting, and a poor choice I thought. Maybe a more moody/angsty song would of worked better. (This is coming from a musician, altho im a metal head :) )

Yeh looks great, the whole big budget look. One of the comments on that video on youtube cracked me up, the guy that goes "what the f*** is the plot even about and the music sucks blah blah." LMAO. Quite a blunt critic you have there.

I wasn't slagging off the film just wanted to know what it was about.

When was it released?

It isn't released yet...not to quibble but most of the reponses on you tube were actually highly complimentary...even the non home grown ones...it just got back our final sound mix with UK sound engineer Rob James, at world famous Twickenham Studios in London...if you are into music you'll know they are one of the most famous recording studios in the world that primarily do studio films...this is the lowest budget film they ever put their name on from what I understand...I'll keep you posted on the release...

as for the story...In Greek mythology, Kerberos (Greek Κέρβερος, Kérberos, the daemon or ker of Erebos) was the hound of Hades, a monstrous three-headed dog with a snake for a tail He guarded the gate to Hades and ensured that spirits of the dead could enter, but none could exit. KERBEROS the movie, is a raw, gritty, character study of three men: Michael Finn, Tony Mennacci, and Lester Armstrong. A cops and robbers tale where no one is innocent and there is little hope of escape from the Hell they have created and live in, only dreams of a final reckoning and redemption.

If you are curious as to which character I play, I am Tony Menacci...a bad Georgia cop ...seen at approx .40 and 1.06 shooting dudes...

..this was a trailer to entice the action freaks...

HEY now, I find that insulting!!!!!! Oh, wait, the last 7 projects I have been involved in were action films, I provide weapons and training to action films, I am a stunt trained actor.........

I guess I AM an Action Freak.

AUSSIE MATE! Melbourne born and raised but I live in Hollywood now...

Ah sweet! In Hollywood? whats it like there? Maybe you can crack the scene like Sam Worthington? I know hes originally British but has the Aussie accent.

I've been living in NZ for 3 years now. Nice break from the rat race in the UK. Do you work full time in Hollywood? What you do?

Thanks Lambert!!!.

Londude, I run the theaters at The Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood. I also make films, train people, do seminars and I am the author of A Guerilla in the Midst, a book for beginning Guerilla filmmakers about no budget filmmaking.

Hey Stan... looks good, buddy! One of these days I need to stop by the Stella Adler and see what you guys do over there...
