My Latest Film - Historical Science Fiction/Documentary

This is a ten minute film. The download is ~100mb WMV.

Let me know what your impressions are of the film and maybe let me know what you think is happening. It is sort of an experiment in the limits of how much to show and or tell the audience. I know I know - throw people a bone, but just sit back and have fun...it's just entertainment - with a little bit of social commentary ;).

Planet Earth: Our Response

Very cool stuff. Perhaps a bit long for my liking. Not enough story (or perhaps enough), and too much of what we already know. If it was cut down, all the info shortened to, say, 5 minutes, it would have flowed better. But that's just my opinion.

As for what's going on? I got the idea that the aliens are trying to contact the humans, and the inter cuts I was a bit confused about until the end. But even then it didn't really leave me on a high note. It left me with a question mark. Just seems like a probe sent to study earth, but then why would they send it if they're only trying to communicate? It seemed like it was trying to be a shock ending, leading people to a big surprise at the end, only to find a mediocre surprise.

But honestly, I enjoyed it. I need to go to bed and this kept me up. I wanted to watch until the end. I like the style and the feel of the film. Although at times I wasn't sure if I was supposed to feel creeped out and disturbed because of the look and sounds, or just curious.

Thanks Jon - I'm looking to get some more responses before I chime in with some insight or answers. I appreciate the comments. And thanks for not revealing the end so early in the thread. It's not meant to be a shock - I just wanted to see if I could technically pull off what I saw in my head.

Again, thanks!
