My Killer Work - Love some constructive critisism.

I've only done three projects so far. But I would love to hear some constructive critisism on what I have done. Anything that would have made the project better.

The first, was shot with the DVX100, and is titled "The Hit". It really doesn't have a story, other than a hot babe with a contract to kill. But I wanted to see what the camera would do in low light, and I wanted to see if I could do a realistic muzzle flash. The gun used in this short is plastic. So, I gathered up some friends and went to town.

The second was shot with the VariCam. My first HD production. I had to shoot with the VariCam because there was a great deal of blue screen work on this one. This one is titled "Once A Killer".

The third project was shot with the DVX as well, but it has nudity in it, so I'm not sure if it is cool to post that or not. It is basically a strip tease in a club. Let me know if that is cool, if so, I will post a link.

Really looking forward to your comments.

Thanks,

productionwise it looks pretty good but personally this footage brings "walker texas ranger" to mind

Hey J.T... Both movies were great.

Surprising that has not been more of a response to your post... Very professional looking. I like the looks of both films. The colors are very rich. the shots, scene, music, and actors all blend well together. The only thing that I did'nt like on the the hit was that little behind the back shot. too dancy with that slow dip that she did... I think it would have been better if she just casually did it (just an opinion)... Oh, and I like the "To die for dating service".

The action in the second vid was great...(who were some of the martial artist) the strikes were very believable... what I really didn't like at all was the voice over... the guys voice didn't work at all to me (sorry) and also some of what he was saying was not even necessary... for example ("3 years ago he had a family... then he starts going into "wife" and "daughter"...) I think once the guy says family and we see what's showing on the screen we can tell that they were in love and that the daughter was his world.) I don't think it needs to be said... stuff like that, you know...

Anyway... once again, great work... If I were in your area I would have tried out for your production... (I run a small martial arts school in the sacramento area)... I have some great fighters (king of the cage, gladiator challenge, and up and coming in the UFC) that I have access too if you ever have the budget to fly one of these guys down to do a shoot... They make great villians.

Good luck on your production.

Did you say that before or after you realized he was in Dallas?

I'm downloading the clips right now by the way.

killer,

i sort of have to agree with the walker, texas ranger comment. the second movie didn't even look like varicam footage at all, but you did do all the compositing very well, i didn't see any artifacts at all. but mostly it looks like walker because the lead IS Chuck Norris.... ;)

where do you get these women from? HOT. and it's funny you ask if your 3rd movie would be ok, because i think i saw two pairs of boobies in your two other movies, lol........and they were nice.

very nice work. I think it would be okay to post the 3rd link. The worst that can happen is it will be taken down but like Justin said there was some nudity in the other ones...

Liked both of them. Very good composition and lighting. I second that the VO detracted a bit from the second one.

Would love to see the third one...
