my jvc commercial contest vid

i really liked the begging and the middle but the end wasnt feeling because i would even need her to punch him and i would think its funnier then when he gets punched but really funny idea good job..

Not sure what this means but I really liked it. When the kid who's filming talks it seems a little darkon him but that's my only comment. Good job.

To echo what's already been mentioned (I think?)... very nicely done, but the voiceover killed it. It just sounded like some kid talking into a mic. If you're allowed to make changes, I'd work on it a bit. If not, so be it, and good luck with the contest!

funny stuff... all these compo's i see on here are always in the US... wish they would do them over here in England ,... is there a section on the site that highlights current run film/video contests???

if not does anyone think its a good idea?? maybe add it to the DVX contest section under "external contests" or something???
 
Incredible job young man. I'm not sure what the rules are but if you were allowed to replace the VO with a professional, I doubt anyone could tell the difference between your entry and a spot with a 100k budget (assuming no one knew you didn't do this for a living)

welll done, but ending wasnt that great. There wasnt too much of a reason for the bride to sucker punch the guy, so i didnt find it that funny. But it looked great.

that "kid" is me! ha, i know the voice sucks, but i forgot to find someone with a good voice to do it and i had to get it turned in asap to make the deadline so i just threw it on there. if mine somehow wins, i hope they replace my voice or give me a chance to get someone else to do it.

it was supposed to be because she can't believe he interupted the wedding because he ran out of tape, especially when the pastor just said "speak now or forever hold your peace". the assumed reaction was that he was trying to stop the marriage, not because he ran out of tape. at least that's what i hoped people assumed

I kind of agree with that, but I would have introduced the product before the punch and then just briefly go back to the wedding scene and use the sucker punch or some other gag to tie things up. This way people will have an idea of what the product is earlier on.
 
Definitely see if you can get a better VO at the end, in fact, I'll bet the extra mile on this piece would be some good sound design with a SFX bed in the intro and underneath, and maybe ADR the voices of the actors back in--- audio was a little weak-- sounds like you used lavs instead of booms.

But I'm being picky-- it was very nice.
