Hello everyone! My name is Corey. My story is not unlike most others. I have been lurking here for a few months now, and have decided to become an active part of the community.
I am an independent producer, and have had pretty extensive experience with the HVX200 as an employee of a media department. I've shot mainly to tape and Firestore drive. I have some experience with P2 cards, but I can't say I am an expert in that workflow.
The bulk of my experience with the camera was to shoot Corporate training videos, commercials and such. What is new it the whole territory of DOF adapters. I'm excited to get involved with it.
I have ventured out and got my own rig, from Danielle Hartzog at Omega Broadcast in Austin. She hooked me up! Be sure to work with her and please tell her I sent you. Anyway, I grew tired of working out deals with friends and associates, so I took the plunge and got my own gear.
I had lights (Lowel DV Creator 44 with Chimeras), tripod and audio already, so according to the research I've done here and communication with current members, I've added to my equipment list the following:
HVX200
FS-100
Barry Green's HVX BootCamp DVD set
Cinevate kit with Flip adapter coming
IndiFocus Pro System
Dolgin TC-400 with 4 SpecComm Batteries
DV MultiRig Pro
PortaBrace Bag
Nikon Lenses
28mm 2.8
50mm 1.8
105mm 2.5
I'm pumped and ready to do some narrative projects and experiment with the DOF.
I do plan to do reviews of some of this equipment as it comes in and post footage of course.
This was just an introduction of myself to the community. I look forward to being an active member, and thanks to all of you, because I've learned so much already and enhanced my skill set through your open, oops! OUR open forum of dialogue.
Look forward to getting to know more of you better, and to the other Lurkers....Feel free to use this thread to jump in and introduce yourself as well.
Thanks,
CDJ
