Yesterday afternoon I got my HVX and here are my first comments:
1) really solid build
2) workflow with the P2 and Final Cut Pro 6 is amazingly convenient
3) editing the 1080/25p is amazing. you can do so many things in realtime (FCP 6) even on a Powerbook G4 1,67. I was blown away.
4) first point and shoot results with everything AUTO was quite poor. In manual modes the results are as expected good.
5) noise was a problem in the beginning but later on I tweaked the settings and it got better. I have to admit the lighting for the testshots was not very good. In good lighting the noise was no problem to me.
6) I love the look of the footage. It is much more Film then I thought.
In total im a very happy with the HVX and I am glad that I found this forum and all the helpful posts.
THANK YOU ALL.
First I wanted to by a HX-A1 but after spending some days in this forum the HVX finally was the winner - I don´t regret a single Euro I spent more for the HVX because the worklow and the seamless editing safes these in a very short time.
More to come later.
