My god, jimmy Fallon really SUXS !

Anyone who comes up a mastuerbating bear, a flute playing cactus chef and
Fidel Castro Rabbit DJ is a genius in my book. Oh yeah.......Gun-toting-nascar-jesus.

Some of Conan's skits still crack me up. "If They Mated" and "The year 2000" still kill me.

But the funniest of them all to me is the Arnie flat screen with the fake lips. That sh!t makes me cry.

I can't wait to see what he does with the tonight show. I hope they don't make him tone it down.

And yes fallon is not funny. Carson was okay. I liked the old format better with his show. He did make me laugh from time to time.

I watched Fallon's show for the first time last night. What a freaking train wreck. I didn't even chuckle. The dude's a hack.

Man Conan has been terrific so far (as he usually is).

That Craigslist skit last night where he and Slash went around looking for guitars was awesome.

Yeah, I saw that too - it was hilarious. I really like Conan, but I think his stand-up is absolutely horrid at the beginning of his shows - past and present. I think he's a genius when it comes to the off-the-cuff humor and ad-libbing, but whoever writes his jokes needs to write them in a way that he delivers them better.

I will say that some of the recent skits on the new tonight show have been awesome.

His set and the quality of production look fantastic by the way.

Fallon is terrible. Besides being funny the number one thing a late night host needs is to be at ease, and Fallon's about as tense as a hostage negotiator.

C'mon guys. He is doing just fine. In fact, he is way ahead of schedule. Don't you remember what Conan was like when he started? He was FREAKING HORRID. The guy was a nervous wreck for at LEAST a year. So, he was pretty much given a full 12 month interview to get going. The only reason why he wasn't canceled after a few weeks (and I mean he was very very uncomfortable) was because he had zero competition. The other networks tried (remember Chevy Chase's late night show?). Remember what it was like to do your first oral speech in the 8th grade? It was a nightmare. And, it wasn't any easier in college either. So, imagine doing it night after night in front of millions of people with someone else's material?

So, to be fair, you need to give Jimmy some time. It's a perfect format for him. If he gets the same leeway Conan was given, he will be just fine. I am rooting for him all the way. If he is given time, I'm absolutely certain his writers will begin to deliver.

I agree with Rick, it took Conan a lot of time to get going when he first started out, Fallon has gotten better, the first couple of shows were excrutiating.

This is actually a clip from the first Conan O'Brien show. At about 4:00 minutes, he comes out to do his monologue. It isn't his whole monologue (the subsequent videos 2, 3 and 4 have been taken down by NBC Universal due to copyright rules) only a few seconds of it...but you can clearly see the beginning of a very nervous Conan delivery...he can't stop touching his face, he is fidgety, etc. And, he was pretty much like this for a year.

Only Dave Letterman was cool, calm and collected during his first Late Night run back in '83. But it helped that he previously had a daytime talk show to get his feet wet.
