My first video with my HMC150 (beach demo)

Awesome music choice! It looks really good. To prep yourself for the wedding, you might want to watch some of Stillmotion's work. In my opinion, they're the best wedding videographers out there.

The slow mo of the wheat looks a little bit weird on my browser. Did you slow it down in post? If you plan on any slow mo at the wedding, trying shooting it at 60fps.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input vongspoth. That stillmotion work is amazing. It's definitely a target for down the road- very inspirational.

Yeah, start using cinema tools for the footage you shot in 60fps and want in slow mo for a nice, smooth slow mo. there won't be any of the ghosting or jitters.

Nice looking footage!

I'm curious to know some of the best export settings for the HMC150 if anyone is willing to share, in regards to FCP.

I have exported stellar videos for AVCHD Consumer Cameras. Now that I just acquired a HMC, the same export settings do not seem to come out as nicely? Some areas seem pixelated (*sp?) and the file sizes are about 2-3x larger. I thought I surpassed the noob stage?

Comments welcome. I have my first wedding shoot this Saturday and I'm a bit nervous.

Footage looks good. I just had my first wedding my HMC150 this past Sunday. Word of advice, get there early! I was early, but not as early as I should have been. I wasn't nervous until I showed up. My problem was that I didn't want to be in the way, but I still wanted good shots.

Still can't figure out what would have been the best location. Also if possible have groom, or Priest wear a lav mic, unless you have a greeat shotgun mic. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go to the rehearsal the night before- hopefully I can figure out which angles I'll shoot then.

I'm really just spraying and praying at this point to be honest. My current flow is exporting to Grapher (I'm having Quicktime issues right now, so my MacPro selected Grapher as the next application in line) on my desktop. Then I open the Grapher file in MPEG Streamclip and compress to H.264.

Now my next hurdle will be giving the customer a Bluray or DVD. I guess I'll figure that out when the time comes.
