I figured I’d get some experience with the camera, so we went to a empty parking lot near the airport. After shooting a few quick shots of me in the race car we got busted by the Burbank PD. So we didn't get much footage to work with! Luckily we told him we were shooting a “student film” and he said wrap it up and go home and left us without giving us a ticket or worse impounding my race car! Learned my lesson there! Even from the few shots I did get it was enough to get some seat time on avid express and I cut together a 30 second “commercial” for my website. I learned a lot and it came out pretty good for my first try.
