logicfilms inspired me with his/her clip a couple days ago so I thought I'd post THIS - it's 30sec. 4.6megs.
It's the moonset/sunrise over Red Rock State Park just outside of Vegas. Hope you like it.

not much to it. I went online to check when the moonset/sunrise time were closest to each other, it happened to be the morning of 4/28.
I set up the camera on tripod - 24pa squeeze mode and started rolling tape for about 50 minutes.
Dumped it into PPro and just sped it up to last 30 secs.
voila!
The shot actually lasted longer but as the sun rose the exposure blew out really bad.

Thanks for checking it out. Now you see why they call the place Red Rock....

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice moon goes down sun comes up I wish I could visit Red Rock more footage more please

That was really well done sirius.

I gotta try that... too bad I have no mountains by my house.

Thanks guys - Also had my Canon 20d with me and took a few shots that I combined using Canon Photostitch software for this cool panoramic shot:

Photostich is an awesome tool. My brother's digital Elph does it too.

Incidentally, you can do "photostich" effects in post (without Canon software) if you know how to position images from zooms and pans in 3D space.

It's a stitch of 5 photos. If you check out the sky and pan across it you can see a slight difference in color where they overlap a bit.
Camera was a Canon 20D, lens was 17-85mm set at 59mm. Photostich is great software.

what is the advantage of shooting in squeeze in this case? what do you do after you shoot in that mode?

mad1 - Just wanted the final video to be 16x9 and prefer to shoot in squeeze mode. After it's shot, I just open a wide screen project in Premiere and capture the footage. It's automatically stretched back out to 16x9 when you drop the clip in the widescreen timeline.
