My first stuff

I bought my DVX100 back in 2003 and this is some of the first stuff i shot. it's a volleyball tournament that i made into a clip of sorts. i used different settings, filters, 24p advanced, 24p standard, 30p and 60i. the clip is set to republica's "ready to go" and lasts a little over 5 minutes.

It's not so interesting to watch... too small... And it seems there is not any creativity inside: only a volley match with music on background.

To deeply test your baby try different shots and different lights and hours of the day!

hey novelt,

I would suggest that you zoom in more to get a little bit more interesting footage. In a volleyball game this can be a problem because the ball is going back and forth, so I would suggest setting up towards one of the corners of the court.
Also, your exposure is a little low.

hope I can help:D

iskander...

too small...was done back in '03 and i had a file size limit. a lot of things have changed in 3 years. matter of fact there wasn't h.264 nor the windows media 9 codecs. as for just being a match with music - i think i said that. lastly to deeply test...i did say this was the first stuff and if you saw my first post on this forum you'd know i was in production on a feature. :)

fatbird19...

i wasn't setting out to make what i did i was actually going to make a "highlight" clip for a couple of the players that i knew so they could send the game footage to college recruiters. that's why you see the majority of the court. it wasn't until the final games that i said "hey i could do..." as for setting up somewhere else you need press credentials to be on the floor. lastly that's not exposure that's compression.

thank you both for your comments.

Sorry.. I didnt go too deeply.
I thought it was your very first *recent* 2006 footage with a 100 bought on 2003! So I was disappointed...

2003 was...we've gone from the dvx100 to the dvx100B and the hvx200. we've gone from premiere 6.5 to premiere pro 2.0 and personally i've got a lot more equipment. :)

i guess then no one noticed all the cuts/transitions were on either the snare hits or the bass kicks? did anybody get to the end?
