This was my first short film I've worked on. I found the finish film seemed a little dull to me. Let me know what you all think if you have an comments/suggestions. anything really.

here is the youtube link:

Something that i don't believe i made it clear in the film is that the two people are actually the same person. Its kind of hard to tell because they look so different, but one of them is just in the other's head. which makes the ending make more sense. Hopefully that clarifies for people. Thanks!

Looks good!

Some comments as I'm watching it... (sorry if it sounds too picky - but that's the best way to learn!)

Make sure you have all your motion in one direction. In one shot in the title sequence, the guy was walking from left to right. The next, right to left. Saw some more of those in the running sequence. Most can be fixed with a simple horizontal flip.

The confusion could be cleared up with some medium shots and close ups. Those were mostly wide shots.

Don't know what NLE you're using, but I could sometimes see the line between the two shots. Maybe you could add an edge feather.

Some of your audio cuts are a bit harsh. Maybe you could try adding audio cross-dissolves or recording like 30 seconds of ambient sound next time you're shooting.

It's illegal to have 4:3 footage stretch on widescreen TVs in 12 states :-P

Oo... greenscreen. If you're using your NLE's built-in chroma keyer, don't. Try After Effects or a similar program. Garbage mattes can really help getting a good key. Check your alpha channel to make sure your key doesn't have any holes.

Overall, I thought it was a nice lil' short :)

Thanks for those tips. i'm not real technical when it comes to editing stuff haah. I've still got a lot to learn, but i'll try to figure out those things you mentioned. thanks
