My First Short Film

[chasew70]

Bought my DVX back in May and I love it so much I cuddle with it at night while I sleep (not really). Anyway I shot this short with it for a film making class I was taking (got an A for it too!), I wasn't allowed to shoot in 24P though, cause the teacher didn't want me to make the rest of the class jelious I guess. Well I was pretty happy with the end result except for about 20 seconds of it in the middle, I forgot to switch the internal Mic back on after I used a shotgun mic, so I had to foley all the sound in the middle. Which work out pretty good cause I was able to also use this for my final project in my sound editing class. Sorry I tend to ramble on sometimes, but anyway enjoy.

Sorry I dont have anywhere to host it so if you want a look see you'll have to download it.

83mb is a bit of a download for a short film... any chance you can compress it further?

And the image freezes after 2:42 and the audio goes all static-y. :-(

The Instructor wouldnt let you use 24p as not to make the others jealous? Is he an idiot or something?

Not really, though I did feel kinda sorry for the other people who were stuck with the schools cameras, which were VHS ones from like 1985.
