I've shot "short films" before. Mostly me just pointing a camera at my friends and editing together something crazy.
My most recent film however, merges everything I have learned in recent years. It is the culmination of my practical experience and what I've learned at school.
I attend the University of Utah, which is not acclaimed for its Film Studies program. I have learned however that it is not the school that matters but the student and I took it upon myself to make the best film ever to come out of my school. I may not succeed but my motto is "If you're not trying to make the best, why try at all?"
Hopefully it's good enough. It's a tragic romance between a British soldier during World War One and his young wife. The requirements of the class dictate that it must be under 5 minutes and contain no sync sound.
Here are the stats:
Budget: $400
Camera: Canon 7D (Stock Lens and Canon 50mm f/1.8)
Story by my friend Stuart Ford
Script by Me (Connor Rickman)
Original Music by my friend Ryan Hebrew

I worked really hard to make this film the best it can be so let me know what you think of the grabs. I have some pretty wicked behind the scenes photos too. My friend and gaffer Tom Fleming snapped these and you can check them out here:
