this is my first music video i directed for my song "Pull My Pud". its really just an experiment, and i would to direct music videos for other artists eventually. let me know what you think:
First of all, saying something is an "experiment" is a cop-out. A video is a video. Your intentions for the piece are irrelevant. All that matters is whats there.
As for the actual video, the first 30 seconds are fantastic. The clip in the beginning is great, and I love the beat of the song when it first starts, and the scientific footage of sperm cross cut with you is excellent.
Unfortunately once the rapping starts, it all goes downhill. First of all the song itself is disgusting and insipid. But even the video has some really strange choices in it. The crudely drawn animation is not only ugly (and gross) but doesn't fit at all with what comes before it. Some of the lip syncing is very off. And then you have a few instances where you have text on the screen, and it the font and colors you chose instantly make the video look cheap and amateur.
It's my opinion that if you are going to make a video for a song so disgusting, the video shouldn't be disgusting too. If the video is nice you can at least maybe sit through the song, but as it is I have a hard time imaging most people would be able to get through the whole video.
