I would love to know what you all think of my first attempt.
I am the Artist & Director...and editor...and janitor...

Song Title: Enjoy ya Self
Artist: Slakah the Beatchild (me)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKYf9tp0nWg

Was shot on a Panasonic DVX100 with Letus 35 EX Adapter and a 50mm f/1.4

First time editing and shooting.

Very good man!
I enjoyed myself :P

But seriously, loved the colors and the whole mood of it.

If I'm gonna give some "criticism" it's the fact that (I think) you used a shutter of 1/24 for most of it. Which gives a videoish motion. If you set it to 1/50 that'll be solved right away and you'll get a really nice motion blur.

But seriously.. great work!!
And such a great song! I love nu-soul!

Yeah sure, you'll get more motion blur with 1/24, but thats what makes it look videoish.

And 1/48 of course.. I'm stuck in the PAL world here so I forgot:2vrolijk_08:

1/48 will make the motion nice and filmic. (A cinematic motion blur)

i def dig that shi*.. good work.. good tune...

perfect choice of color... i like that look

i usually don't like posting on peoples work, but your's was shot super good and the lighting itself killed a lot of these self proclaimed "directors" on DVX user, HV20 User, and Red user forums. Thank you for making something worth watching.
