well... I've had dirty heads here and there (despite really being anal about keeping it clean, and having low head time as it is) and I only ever use panasonic MQ tapes.
but today I saw the first actual drop out where data was bad on a tape - it was only a couple frames where sound dropped out - I tried to capture it three times and it always dropped the exact same part. FCP actually stopped the capture and gave an error a second after the drop out.
I have less then 120 hours head time and this camera has been cleaned TWICE by panasonic (the last time was less then 10 hours ago.)
is this amount of finickyness to be expected with this camera?
