My First Attempt at an Edit

Hey everyone,

As a new HVX200a owner and a new member to this site I figured I can learn a lot by posting some footage and getting some advice/critiques from people.

So below is a link of the first footage I shot with the HVX put together into my first edit using FCP. I shot everything in 720/30pn in Cine V I believe... I was mainly working on using depth of field and playing around with the manual focus to get used to it.

I used FCP 6 for the editing on my 2.16ghz macbook with 4gb or ram, which actually worked just fine, but it will definitely be nice when I start using my G5 tower and cinema display :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) I spent quite a while before I even touched the camera or FCP reading the manuals (and the HVX book 'Thanks Barry!'), but am going to have to go back and reread some of the technial stuff about iris, gain, and settings such as detail.

Anyway, feel free to leave any type of comment about the footage/editing, I am really just here to learn.

Try some different techniques for shooting. Maybe some motion or following something. I love the rolling focus, but a little variety can really spice it up....

Nice stuff!
