My Final Cut is in the mail BUT....

So I ordered FCP 5 so I can use my P2 setup, but I just shot a TV spot and the footage is all on p2 and Apple said Final Cut wont be here for a week or two!

Surely there is some way for me to get the footage off the card and into my Final Cut HD 4.5 system? No...
 
I don't believe there is a way to get it into FCP 4.5, but you could always offload the footage to an external drive and import it into FCP 5 when you get it. Happy shooting...
 
If you find someone with FCP 5, you can import the files onto a portable drive. Take the drive, hook it to your system, start a new project, and import the footage. FCP 4.5 can read the DVCPROHD files just fine.
