My Films shot on DVX100b

I'm a 17 year old high-school student. I've been making movies for a while now, most of them aren't very "cinematic" and focus more on rediculous content. I'm going to the New York Film Academy in Paris for 6 weeks this summer, and I'm pretty pumped.

I suggest watching "ISMO" for the cinematography, and most of the other films are just shorts/sketches and whatnot. Please note there is generally some course language.

"The Chief's Wife" was incredible! Don't worry about looking cinematic, at this point you'll just end up getting distracted. It had it's rough spots of course, but I was compelled to watch all the way through--something I RARELY do with the constant flood of short films that find their way on to these forums. Excellent! some of the comedy was truly inspired.

Good luck with the film academy program. I can't wait to see what you can make when you come back with some proper training!

Funny stuff, "The Chief's Wife".

I echo what Celcio said, don't get too hung up on the cinematography/technicals yet.....you'll learn them. The thing to remember is that STORY is always the #1 priority. YouTube & the big screen are littered with well shot pieces of s@*t.

I am slightly older than you, but have only been making short films for a little more than a year. We have a monthly short film challenge here in Hawaii which has proved to be 'like' a film school, so my friends and I have been able to learn quickly and 'under the gun'.

I noticed that your film was for that 48-hour challenge (in PHX). I entered the same challenge (in HNL) last July AND also drew the same category, DETECTIVE/COP.
This is before I even learned to CC.

Check it out...

Just keep making them and good luck at that film academy.
