SHORT: My film is a Semi-Finalist in Ridley Scott/Youtube's filmfest!

I'm a filmmaker in Los Angeles and am really excited that my film "Sold" was chosen as a semi-finalist out of over 15,000 submissions for Ridley Scott's "Your Film Festival" - http://www.voteforsold.com

Sold is about a young journalist who is inadvertently captured into a human trafficking ring while investigating the treatment of undocumented immigrants in America.

If my film 'Sold' is voted by the public into the top 10, I'll be flown to Venice, Italy to open the Venice International Film Festival with my film! Even more amazing, if 'Sold' wins, Scott Free Productions will award a $500,000 grant for me to make my dream movie with Ridley Scott! Please help my dreams come true and vote! http://www.voteforsold.com

This competition is another fascinating look at how Scott Free productions has been able to use Youtube to gain more exposure for filmmakers (the first being that Life in a Day documentary).

This is the link people are using to vote:

The above link will take someone directly to the film where they can click the red "VOTE" button to the right. Voting ends on July 13th and people are allowed to vote once a day. If you like the film, please help! I can't even imagine how cool it would be to go to Venice Film Festival and open the fest with my short!

Thank you for introducing me to Fernanda Romero. She is one of the most gorgeous things I've seen in a long time. Oh, and good luck! I voted for you.

Its brilliant work.. very well done. I enjoyed it.. and you were lucky enough to work with Jessica Alba's twin sister... ;)

All the best, I will vote every day for you, wish you every success..

That was awesome. I voted for you. Could you share a little about the short, how it was done etc. Not that it matters, but I am curious was it a Canon that you shot it on?

Thanks and good luck!

Hey Prexdealer, We shot it on a Canon 5D and a set of Zeiss Primes. It was really nice especially for the trunk scenes (having such a small camera). I love those cameras though! The 5D was the DP's but I own a 7D and love it so much.
It was a big challenge trying to figure out how to shoot the trunk scenes. We ended up finding, last minute, the back half of a taxi cab on rollers that had a remove-able side and a hole in the axle so we could get different angles! I'm attaching a picture, hopefully it comes through

Thank you so much for all your votes and nice comments you guys left!
Yikes, only 5 days left on the voting!
