Today through Vevo my favorite video (that I personally have produced) was released. Meant to be gritty with imperfections a lot of work went into some of these shots. Really happy with how it turned out!!

milky blacks possibly a fashion, looks like a mistake in grading.. where is dynamic range, pure blacks and whites, 16..235 RGB?

I wasn't concerned with dynamic range at all with this one. I definitely see where your coming from, it was a choice from the get go that we wanted to give it a slight vhs feel. Something a little different then we normally do
 
Love this! Everything awesome about this comes from imagination and creativity and hard work and that's so inspiring. Thought the grading helped get across that lo-fi DIY vibe. Love that Spike Lee float! How did you do the strobe-y rapid-fire back and forth effect? Is it just a matter of snagging a few frames and copying and pasting them over and over in the timeline? Looked good. Congrats on the whole, so successful!

Thank you verrry much! I really cant tell you how much I appreciate that. I spent a very long and sleepless night writing this :thumbup:. The Stobe-y effect was exactly that, a couple frames (usually 2-3 frames away from each other) copied and pasted, I was happy with what it added though.
 
Love it- really, really well done!!!

I love not only the jump/strobe edits, but the pans where he's at both ends of the shot, on the floor (dead? passed out?).
