My DVX100A Needs Repair, I Think

Hey guys - little problem with my DVX 100 A - I've had for about 15 months, no problem initially, used for a music video and a feature film with my original DVX100. Took both cameras to record a live theatre event - very straightforward two-cam setup, and discovered that the 100A, when shooting wide, was extremely soft. I played with focus, had a Sony production monitor on hand to check both, the DVX 100 was fine; crisp and clear. The DVX 100A, no matter what I did, just looked mushy. Basically like it was out of focus, but almost as if there was color bleed. I double checked all the settings, ND Filters definitely off, etc. Any guesses as to what could be wrong? And any recommendations for service in the San Diego or Los Angeles area?

Are you zooming in all the way to focus, then zooming out wide, then finding the image is blurry? that's a back focus problem that needs adjustment.

the sharpness setting on the camera may be set in the negative, and you make have detail set negative as well... I would suggest sliding those as positive as possible. If you've still got a problem, consult your local camera repair shop.
