My DVX100 will not put timecode on the tapes, so I now cannot capture

anything i shoot on my dvx now just doesnt have timecode so when i try to import the footage even on my other cameras, it never goes through because it says its looking for time code. i'll probably have to end up transfering it to another tape just to make it work

I don't think that's physically possible. If anything is recorded at all, there should be timecode.

Play back the footage in your DVX. Does timecode run? If it does, that's not the problem.

I had this problem once too although the footage would capture, there would just be no timecode. The way I solved it was by charging the internal battery which runs the camera's clock. To charge it you've just got to charge the camera without any batts in it and then reset your clock once it's charged. If this doesn't work I don't know what the problem is. Hope this helps!
