I've been doing a decent amount of low-light shooting as of late (concerts) and it's only now, about a year into having my HVX that I'm actually starting to play around with some of the more complicated settings the camera has. For the most part (then), I would just select the scene file pre-set on the scene dial that suited the lighting scenario best, then adjust F-stop, shutter, etc.
